Updates

Over the last couple of weeks i’ve been adding some content to the site, mainly things that we have done to fix up Bumblebee and a write up of some of our travels.

In the not too distant future I will be migrating the site to a hosted solution so I can add, amongst other things gallery functionality to our posts.

I hope you enjoy reading as I enjoy writing about our exploits and we’re looking forward to great year ahead of camping, adventures, photography and blogging !

I Love Hard Beats

Many moons ago I used to DJ in the rave scene, I don’t play out so much these days but every now and again someone remembers me, wonders what I am up to and books me for an event which is nice.

This year (2014) it was the boys at Munted, next year the I Love Hard Beats crew have booked me to play b2b with my old mucka K-Komplex, we’ll be playing crazy rave music, Freeform for those of you who don’t know what we play along with a whole host of excellent, talented and bonkers artists, most notably Kevin Energy who is making a return to the platters that matter after a well deserved rest..

Full details and hype surrounding the event can be found here and below is a nice picture of the e-flyer, come along, let your hair down, wave your hands in the air and maybe get a little bit wobbly, go on, you know you want to !!

Craig Davison and Syd

Whilst in Bath we came across 2 artists who’s work is just awesome.

First up is a guy called Craig Davison, what stopped me in my tracks was the picture below which was hanging in a gallery.

Once you work out what’s going on it’s a great concept and brilliantly executed, if you would like to see more of his work and I recomnmend you do, click here, there is so much to see, if I was a millionaire i’d buy one of everything !

The second artist we came across was a guy called Syd, (Luke Hollingworth), a rural based ‘street and field’ artist  who retired to his garden shed a few years back as the ass end fell out of the economy in 2008. He runs a business called the Stencil Shed and does some awesome stencil work on wood, brickwork, all sorts of stuff, I bought a postcard of the below

Welcome

Hi and welcome to our little spot on the interweb.

The blog is mainly about our van and out travels but here on this page you might find all sorts of things from rants about trains to things that have made me / us laugh or smile.

At the bottom of the page there is an option to follow the blog, it will ask you for your email address and I will do nothing with it, your email is safe with me !

Thats all from me for now, as soon as something gets up my nose or makes me chuckle it’ll be up on here…
